The Outpatient Registered Nurse: •Prepares patients for and assists with exams •Administers injections and medications •Dresses wounds and incisions •Assists with procedures and minor surgery •Interprets medical providers’ instructions to patients •Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent patient data •Cleans instruments and equipment and maintains stock of supplies and medications •Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act •Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
